Wet, wet, wet and we don't mean a 1990s pop group !

The students were treated to a practical demonstration of the hydrological cycle, particularly the bit about precipitation as they boldy and enthusiastically went about their duties. The geography specialists focused on the river flowing along Ashes Hollow, observing and recording data including velocity, discharge and channel characteristics. The geologists within the group were introduced to magnificent conglomerates from the pre-Cambrian period, over 500 million years old.

Despite the weather the students remained resolute in their task and enthusiastic.

A fun day for them all was completed with the now famous Last Night Quiz Night Extravagana - won by the 4 Lions team despite struggling to name the scale used for measuring the intensity of earthquakes. Just time for some of the students to enjoy a game of jenga or twister (or sometimes both at the same time) before calling it a day. Brilliant, well done to all.

Friday will see KEGS hit the rural villages surrounding Shrewsbury to look at settlement form and function before the long drive home and a well deserved rest.

Well done team !
