Flood Risk and Management in Shrewsbury
Students spent the day assessing the potential risk and impact of flooding of the river Severn on the market town of Shrewsbury. Data was collected on land height, land use and idstance from the river channel to develop a flood risk and cost value. Chi squared statistical test to see the significance of the data and digital mapping of the land use and risk over Google Earth. How exciting can a November day get?
