Geographers Champion Reading

The Y8 project to champion reading of Geographical Literature has "taken off"! With prompting from staff students are being encouraged to read geography and travel books and magazines. Each book and accompanying short review will provide students with a visa stamp in the Geography Literature Passport. Starting level is the Day-tripper followed by the seasoned traveller whilst those reaching the highest levels achieve recognition as an Intrepid Explorer. Completion of each level is recognised by the award of a certificate. Thanks particulary to Mrs Gray in the library for helping the Department get this up and running. A display of the students reviews so far can be seen in the Library and also here !
