Abbott's Hall Farm Yr12 Fieldtrip

On Tuesday 10th July almost 50 Year 12 Students (mainly geographers with some biologists) visited Abbot's Hall Farm on the Essex coastline to examine and collect some data on the saltmarshes. Luckily they avoided any particularly heavy rainshowers though they weren't completely without rain! They took data in transects of 50m including types of vegetation, vegetation height, temperature and soil pH. The trip was run in conjunction with the Essex Wildlife Trust who own Abbott's Hall Farm.

In the afternoon they returned to start analysing and writing up their findings on the computers, sharing the data from all their groups.
