Greetings from KEGS in Reykjavik

Weather great, scenery magnificent and the food is fine too ! Wish you were here. Photos to follow when we have access to a download but at present we are unable to get photos from the cameras onto the system. the afternoon was spent stood on top of a large geothermally heated hot water tank. We do go to the most exciting places ........

The evening has been spent at a talk on the culture, the history and the language of Iceland ....... as well as the geography and the plate tectonics too ....... fascinating !

More details to follow tomorrow from Vik where we will have visited a geothermal power station, waterfalls, geysers and the home of the oldest parliament in the world ...... to make it a truely cross-curricular trip we intend to do even more geography and geology after all that is why we are here.
